Jonah 1
In today's message, Pastor Isaac Portillo introduces the story of Jonah and explores what happens when we run from God's calling. Through Jonah's decision to flee in the opposite direction, we see how disobedience can lead us away from God's purpose while His relentless pursuit continues. This message challenges us to examine where God may be calling us to trust, obey, and follow Him.
In today's message, Pastor Isaac Portillo shares how running from God does not eliminate God's purpose for our lives. Through the story of Jonah, we are reminded that even when we run, resist, or find ourselves outside of God's will, His purpose remains. Come with open hearts, ready to hear from God, draw closer to Him, and allow Him to redirect our lives.
Pastor Isaac Portillo shares a message about crying out to God in our distress and trusting in His mercy to deliver us. Through Jonah's prayer from the depths, we see that even at rock bottom we can turn back to God, trust in His mercy, and find hope in His presence. This message reminds us that salvation and restoration ultimately belong to the Lord.
Pastor Isaac Portillo explores how God's grace reaches beyond the borders we often create. Through Jonah's obedience in preaching to Nineveh, we see an entire city respond to God's warning with repentance and humility. Their story reminds us that God's mercy can reach unexpected people and places, challenging us to recognize that His compassion and grace extend far beyond those we might expect.
Pastor Isaac Portillo explores Jonah's anger when God shows mercy to the people of Nineveh. Through Jonah 4, we see God's grace, mercy, and compassion extend even to those Jonah considered enemies. This message challenges us to examine our own hearts and consider whether we are willing to show compassion to the same people God desires to reach.
The Christian's true rest is in the Lord.
